Dragon won a 2014 UK Theatre Award for Best Show For Children and Young People and a CATS Award for Best Technical Presentation. It was also nominated for CATS Awards for Best Design, Best New Play, Best Ensemble & Best Show for Children and Young People.

Following its UK premier in 2013, Dragon was recreated in spring 2014 at the Tianjin People's Art Theatre for a mainland China tour, and appeared as a part of the 2015 Edinburgh International Festival

Dragon's design was exhibited as part of the Society of British Theatre Designers' Make/Believe exhibition at the V&A in London..
