Press Quotes

combines tremendous depths of emotion with sheer technical brilliance […] helped by Becky Minto’s astonishing set of mirrored screens which sometimes shiver with loss and uncertainty, superb lighting by Simon Wilkinson, and a searching and beautiful score by David Paul Jones

Joyce McMillan, The Scotsman

“a production about love that has been made with love.

… its technical triumph lies in David Paul Jones’ music, Simon Wilkinson’s delicate lighting and Becky Minto’s design”

Lyn Garnder, The Stage

a remarkable use of moving mirrors that become integral to the action. Fused with Simon Wilkinson’s painterly lighting and a haunting piano led score by David Paul Jones, this provides the perfect backdrop to Harry’s attempts to hold on to his sense of self.

Neil Cooper, The Herald

The technical brilliance of Love Beyond cannot be overstated. The backdrop of the stage is made up of a series of mirrors and sometimes Harry sees himself, now, reflected back at him. Other times a trick of the light enables the mirror to be a window to the past
